We have setup all the procedures needed to prepare meteorological data ready to be used in AERMET, AERMOD, CALMET and CALPUFF. Our procedures are based on WRF (Weather Research and Forecasting), MMIF (Mesoscale Model Interface Program) and, if needed CALMET (both versions 5.8.5 and 6.5). The models run on AWS (Amazon Web Services), and the modeling chain is very reliable and fast.

We can prepare input data for atmospheric dispersion simulations that must be done at any place in the world. We can go back to year 2012.

We can prepare these meteorological data:

  • CALMET-ready files obtained by running WRF and CALWRF. These files are in 3d.dat format and are typically used as initial guess field in CALMET. It is possible to use these data both in CALMET 5.8.5 and in CALMET 6.5.
  • CALPUFF-ready files obtained by running WRF and MMIF. These files can be used in CALPUFF version 5.8 and above.
  • CALPUFF-ready files obtained by running WRF and CALMET 5.8.5. These files can be used in CALPUFF version 5.8.5. These files can also be used in LAPMOD.
  • CALPUFF-ready files obtained by running WRF and CALMET 6.5. These files can be used in CALPUFF version 7.
  • AERMET-ready files obtained by running WRF and MMIF. With this option we provide both the meteorological data and the three input files needed to run AERMET.
  • AERMOD-ready files obtained by running WRF, MMIF and AERMET. With this option we provide both the surface and profile meteorological files (*.sfc and *.pfl) ready to be used in AERMOD.

We can also provide geophysical data (terrain elevation, land use) for any domain in the world.
