Wind power estimation

Among the alternative energies, which are always more of more concern due to the global heating, one of the most important is the wind energy. Enviroware evaluates the wind potential over a specific area starting from meteorological measurements, model simulations, and a database of high resolution orography and land cover. Starting from the knowledge of some parameters of the wind turbine (blade diameter, hub height, cut-in and cut-out wind speeds), it is possible to estimate, for example: - the wind power class - the operating probability of the turbine - the annual specific yield of the turbine.

Recently Enviroware has carried out a global estimation of the wind power using the data of years 2007-2008.
