Traffic emissions

The construction of new residential and commercial buildings, as a consequence for example of the requalification of urban dismissed areas, produces a relevant impact on the environment. This is not only due to the construction activities and the heating of the new buildings, but also to the variation of the traffic induced by the new installments.

Enviroware has acquired a relevant know-how in evaluating air and noise emissions from traffic starting from hourly data of traffic counts either measured or estimated by models, and in assessing the atmospheric dispersion of air pollutants. This experience comes from the impact assessment studies carried out for many important requalification interventions (Integrated Assessment Plans) in Milan (Italy) and its outskirts.
Apart from estimating emissions from traffic in relatively small areas, Enviroware has the experience and the necessary software tools for estimating traffic emissions (CORINAIR SNAP 07 sector) within regional emission inventories..
Emissions are computed using the COPERT 3 methodology that is the European reference in this context.
